This land, of a markedly Mediterranean nature, has been home to civilisations that have left their stamp on the area and which date back to the Levantine Art cave paintings that have been named as a World Heritage Site. From then, the Iberians, Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, Muslims and Christians all put their stamp on our heritage, which we are proud of conserving and showing off to visitors.
In nearly all regions in Castellón we can find municipalities which are protected as Historical Artistic Sites and, of course, as Sites of Cultural Interest. More information on those last two elements can be found in this section, in order for art and culture lovers to find out more and enjoy them.
