Drystone buildings are understood to be buildings made by our ancestors with a technique that did not use any kind of binder for its construction. It is an ancestral constructive technique that has been used in the rural environment to shape a peculiar landscape that has become an authentic heritage for humanity, forming part of the Valencian cultural heritage.
Interior walls, borders, exterior walls, rafts, waterwheels, wells, diving boards, huts, etc. There are more than 600 huts cataloged in the whole of Vistabella. The buildings typical of the Alt Maestrat organize the space, with terraces, milestones, steps, etc. dozens of old farmhouses scattered all over the district stand out as drystone constructions, it shows the dispersion of the people of past centuries.
