It’s a palatial building typical of civil Gothic architecture, built in the 14th-15th centuries and the residence of the royal administrator. The structure is typical of Valencian Gothic palace-houses with a basement, mezzanine, main floor and attic in addition to an inner courtyard with a rectangular tower.
Acquired in 1971 by the Provincial Government, it was restored and today houses the Popular Museum of Contemporary Art.
