Holy Blood Church


Declared of Cultural Interest - Vilafamés

A medieval church that was made Baroque in the 17th century. It has a crypt with thirteen pointed arches from the 14th century. There is a nave with four sections as well as a high altar and choir with chapels between buttresses.

Several interesting baroque altarpieces are conserved within, two of which are of immeasurable beauty and very rare in the province of Castellón.  In addition, there’s pictorial fresco decor on the high altar and in the St. Barbara chapel.

Standing out among the interior ornamentation are the different Baroque altarpieces and the fresco paintings attributed to the Guilló family.
