This cistern is one of the most significant elements of the hydraulic system of the Soneja garden. Water from the Madre ditch was stored therein and, for 250 years, it supplied water to the population for domestic use. It was built in the 18th century. It is an underground construction made up of two vaulted naves joined together by four arches.
