St. Helena’s Chapel is an interesting example of rural Baroque architecture. It was built in the mid-18th century. The monumental Baroque facade and enormous temple stand out. An atrium is conserved on the sides to shelter horses and pilgrims. With three arcades and a dome, the interior is profusely decorated with polychrome paintings in the various side chapels and roof.
People have been going there every first Sunday of May on romeria since 1742.
