With a population of 950, Sant Jordi is situated in the north of the province of Castellón, bordering the province of Tarragona, in the Baix Maestrat region - 90 km from the city of Castellón. To get there from the coast, follow signs to Morella and you will find it at the junction of the CN-232 and the CN-340; it is just 12 km from Vinarós. Its excellent location allows us to enjoy all the tranquility of a village in the interior, but just 8 minutes from the magnificent beaches of Costa Azahar.
Two other prominent landmarks, both recently restored, are the Fossar Vell, by the svelte Belltower, which is now a stage, hosting open-air theatrical performances, exhibitions and live music, and the Pozos Muntells, an 18th-century hermitage, now a rest area beneath whose arches we can observe what were once stone washing basins.
Just 700 m outside the village, amidst thickets and pine groves, you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the paths of the Bovalar Natural Park (also a future Sculpture Park), whilst contemplating the magnificent views from the casetas-merenderos (snack areas set in huts), located at the entrance to the pine grove.
Nevertheless, the main tourist attraction, both nationally and internationally, remains the Nova Panorámica golf course. The interesting round provided by the course and its spectacular setting make it one of the most attractive golf courses in Europe.

Primarily based on agriculture, the economy is further bolstered by the influx of tourists, in particular those heading to Sant Jordi to visit the excellent golf course.What to see
The Arc de Triomphe (a stone monument created by the Barberá brothers in 1995) greets you on our way into the town. Continuing on, you reach the old town, where you can admire the architectural beauty of ecclesiastical and civil buildings, such as the San Jaime parish church, the former barracks or the interior of the old 14th-century church,located in the Plaza Mayor (main square). Particularly striking is the large number of ancient façades, with dry-stone arches, which together with some family shields and works of the well-known local sculptor, Bautista Folia, reflect the importance of Sant Jordi in the region.
