It’s located on a hill dominating a village of the same name, El Tormo, which belongs to the municipal area of Cirat which is approximately 9 km away.​

There is hardly any specific information available on this medieval castle except that it appears to have been an Islamic castle dependent on the Cirat Castle, which means its history is linked to the latter.​

Currently, the only thing worth mentioning is the existence of a few remains including what could have been the base of the main tower.
