Only the ruins remain from the primitive monastery of the Carmelite Fathers, built in 1697 and destroyed by an earthquake that devastated the area in 1783. However, the excursion is certainly worth it, both for the historical and artistic interest of the monument and for the panoramic views that can be enjoyed.
Faced with the impossibility of restoring the building, a new one was built in a safer area. This was completed in 1796. Next to the Monastery, there is a Church, from the same time period, and a Museum.
