The festivities in honour of the patron saint of Bejís, San Blas, are held on February 3rd, when several “San Blas sweet rolls” are baked to be blessed in the church. Likewise, a giant roll, decorated with sweets, is also baked and raffled along with other typical products donated by the locals and auctioned by the Clavarios organising these festivities.
On the eve of San Blas, bonfires are lighted, while people sing: “hogueras a San Blas, que nos cure la garganta y todo lo demás” (bonfires to San Blas, so that he can heal our throats and everything else).
Other events organised by the Clavarios are: the aurora, the roll blessing, the mass, the snack, the procession and the auction of the roll. In addition, DJ events and music band performances are held.
