It’s in the town’s main square. It’s a rectangular fortified building made of large-sized ashlar bricks. There are a number of windows and a main entrance with a round arch. It’s been partially restored, at least on the outside. Yet a large portion of the defensive elements have disappeared through the many renovations, especially the remains of the battlements and embrasures.
The owner in the early 17th century was Mr Bernardo Vilarig Pardo de Carroz. Cirat is part of the Alto Mijares local region.
The palace is located in the centre of the town in the main square. The counts’ palace, which was connected to the tower, was divided among three heirs. The central section was demolished and flats were built. A portion of the remaining facade of what was once the palace was demolished in the year 1981.
