This fountain is found in the Plaza de D. José Mª García Castillo, which is more commonly known as the “Plaza la Fuente” to Matet residents. The fountain itself is a metal monument with four taps and various lampposts.

It is an almost perfect replica of the famous “Font de Canaletes” in Barcelona, and acts as evidence of the untarnished Barcelonan heritage of the people of Matet. It is not very old, and was a replacement for the previous stone fountain.
