There are very few documented references to the castle. It must have been a secondary lookout post to watch over a route or road. It was small in size with a dispersed irregular layout that was long and narrow. It’s currently in complete ruins.
Various sections of the wall can still be seen as well as the structure of the bigger tower and the bases of two square towers. Remains from the Middle Bronze Age, the Iberian Era and the Islamic Golden Age have been found as well.
