The Old Castle “La Roca”.

It was built to protect and defend the valley facing the Vistabella region. To accomplish this goal it formed part of a system of fortifications that protected the valley.

It is small in size and today only the remains of a tower and some walls are still standing (walls which still hold the remains of two towers, one of which was circular, and another which may have been square). There was a tower vestibule known as El Callis as its ground floor was an alley which provided access to the walled complex. El Callis is at one end of the square where the parish church is also located, very near to the castle’s tower.
