Sarañana, Todolella’s primitive village: This currently uninhabited village was once a thriving place, as indicated by the different monuments that can be found there. Its church is known for the sturdiness of its foundations, over the old castle of Sarañana, and the old government building among others. This village is just a few kilometres from the centre of Todolella, crossing the Gothic bridge. A must-visit place where time had once stopped, but is now starting to move again, thanks to the influx of new residents, descendants of the old inhabitants of Saranyana, and the restoration projects that are currently underway.
