The oldest part of the building is made up of the apse, the sacristy and the two side chapels along with an arc of triumph and a bell tower. They date back to the late 16th century. The most modern part was built as of the year 1862 and can easily be differentiated from the rest due to the continuation of the mud brick construction. The interior is of great interest due to the paintings, raised choir and the combination of mosaic and the original wooden floor in the main nave.
