Fuente de la Asunción

Viver

Fuente de la Asunción.

This commemorates the bringing of water to the town. The Baroque-style fountain was constructed in 1608 thanks to the historian Francisco Diago, and refurbished in 1619. It was the first public fountain in Viver and is built in the shape of a Eucharist chalice, topped with a statue of the Virgin Mary.
