The calvary is located on the outskirts of the town, near the town cemetery. Construction works and various refurbishments of the Calvary have been going on bit by bit ever since construction began. The religious ceremonies that take place during Holy Week usually involve 3 important settings: the parish church, the streets of the town centre and the Calvary, which serves as the backdrop for the recreation of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ. The architecture and urban design of the Calvary complex make it a setting that witnesses numerous special moments: Lent, Holy Week and in particular Good Friday, when two main ceremonies, The “Stations of the Cross” and “Holy Burial” processions are held.
