The festival of the saint, Sant Mateu, the 21st September, marks the culmination of the festive cycle of the people. Until 1961, the main celebrations on theses dates but they were changed to the current dates of the month of August for practical purposes. The festival of Sant Mateu has a strong protocol character with the high mass and procession in honor of the saint but also a festive part with the weekend dedicated to the running of the bulls, verbenas, etc. The Ball Pla is also danced but without the solemnity of the 20th August since is it done without the typical clothing and in one session.
