Located in the Grau, at the beginning of the seafront promenade, next to the Mediterranean Sea, this building stands out by its 25-metre-high white dome above the blue sea, being an ideal framework for contacting science.
The statue La Hembra del Mar (The Female of the Sea), by the Catellón sculptor Juan Ripollés, welcomes us at the main access to the building. There is a space surrounding the building aimed at outdoor exhibitions.
Inside, just after entering the lobby, we can find the Foucault Pendulum, an exhibition hall, a conference hall and administrative services.
We can find three exhibition halls In the semi-basement floor and, through a spiral staircase located in the lobby, we can access the Planetarium hall, equipped with a Carl Zeiss projector.
