The Church of the Assumption is situated at the highest point in the town.  It was built in honour of St. Peter in the 13th century. It’s of Romanesque origin with simple architecture yet the bell tower and main altar are Baroque. Currently under restoration, valuable 13th century pictorial panels have been found during this renovation work.
