Built between 1417 and 1437.
It’s the most emblematic structure in the town - unique because of how the structure and original materials have been conserved.
The main public floor was used to hold Consell de Catí town council meetings, the ground floor was used as a jail, the floor off the street Calle Mayor was used as a market and the back as a wheat warehouse.
The entire building is a real Levantine Gothic gem. Particularly standing out are the Gothic mullioned windows, wooden ceilings, the seven arches inside creating a large covered market area and the stone floor on the main floor.
