El Onso

This is the oldest character in La Mata’s traditions, who announces the end of the winter and the arrival of the spring. When the good weather arrives, the hunters go in search of El Onso in the oak forest and they bring him to the town, tied up, to show that the good weather has indeed arrived. Happy about this, the residents of La Mata bring the wineries onto the street and invite visitors to have a drink.
