These celebrations begin in the village of Els Ibarsos on the second weekend in May in honour of the Virgen de los Desamparados. They continue in the village of Els Rosildos during the last weekend in June, and are held in honour of San Cristóbal. They come to an end in Sierra Engarcerán during the week of the 24th of August, this time in honour of San Bartolomé.
The celebrations combine religious and pagan ceremonies, as is typical of the villages in the province. Bull events, traditional dances, masses, sporting competitions and dances featuring an orchestra make up the majority of the activities.
Consequently, Sierra Engarcerán and the two neighbouring villages enjoy an enduring tradition and a wealth of festivities, culture and folklore.
