The Paraje Natural del Monte Bovalar natural park is a natural area in La Salzadella, less than 1 kilometre from the urban centre, which provides a varied offer of leisure activities for visitors: enjoying walks in nature, hiking, various sports and, above all, mountain biking.

The El Bovalar BTT Club is an important sporting entity in the municipality and in recent years it has organised high quality events such as the III Open de Descenso Comunitat Valenciana 2011 downhill open, in 2010 it organised the Circuit BTT Muntanyes de Castelló on behalf of the Provincial Council of Castellón and from then the yearly test makes up part of the competition and there is also a Pedalada Infantil children’s race which is participated by a large amount of great little cyclists.
