Made of ashlar stone, it provides the entrance to the oldest part of the town. Almedíjar once had a medieval walled enclosure to defend the town centre which was far from the castle. Part of this enclosure has been preserved and is still in good condition. It’s possible to see various sections and arches in the oldest part of the town.
