Also known as the August Festivals, they are held on the penultimate Friday of this month in commemoration of the beheading of San Juan Bautista, the town's patron saint, which Christianity celebrates on 29 August. For a little over a week the traditional "bous al carrer", "bous embolats", "verbenas", "pasacalles", and many other events take place in the village. Its name is due to the fact that it was the young people who were in charge of organizing the festivities in ancient times.
