San Antonio, the patron saint of the town is celebrated on January 17th. Traditionally the popular auction of the congletes was held. These are typical cakes made by the expert hands of the women in the town in the “mudéjar” oven, and after being made they are auctioned in public; everyone wants to participate and enjoy the exquisite sweet treats. Due to the harshness of winter on these dates, which is not fitting for said festivity, the making and auctioning of the congletes has been moved to the second week in August. The blessing of the animals has not been forgotten, and is still celebrated on that date.
