According to legend, thirteen men marched to Rome to ask the Pope for a blessing that would bring health and water to the village. When only one managed to return, fourteen years later, he arrived having been commanded to go to the Ermita de Castellfort in honour of St. Peter, the first pope, who could also grant their wish. The pilgrimage has been celebrated ever since, although for numerous reasons there have been certain years when it could not take place. There is currently a big following from the village residents, children and tourists for whom there is great spirituality in these ceremonies.
