Prado del Canal Natural Area

Another attractive landscape is the Prado del Canal, at a height of 1450m. Here, a green pine wood separates the meadow from the high, rocky slope of La Salada hill, a frequent sparrow hawk nesting spot. On its southern face, on the Resinero rise, at 1485m , you can find remains from the Spanish Civil War.

The lakes of the Sacañet plains are also a highlight, being an important wetland area for the Valencian Autonomous Community.

The River Canales, which begins at La Salada Spring, and a tributary of the River Turia, which begins at La Carrasca Spring, flow through these highlands.  There are enormous trees, such as a one hundred year-old kermes oak and the pine tree in Gabarda, which would serve as a marker for walkers in times of heavy snowfall.

Other unmissable spots include the Fuente de los Gices, Las Tejas, the Salinas and the recreation area in Pozanco.

Various potholes and caves are located around the village, such as the Guillamón chasm, the Murciénaga cave and the Pueblo cave, which is only a few metres away from the village.
