The Marquis of Villores had his Palace in the present building of the City council, being owner of multiple lands. The first inhabitants were Moors and from then the cattle ranch became main source of wealth.
Economy
Aside from livestock, it relies on agriculture, hemp espadrille-production and the services industry.

Start your visit at La Bassa square, make your way through to the church square, and enjoy wandering through the rest of the municipality's streets.
Landscape
The town rises up 750 metres above sea level. It has a mountainous landscape, a riverside area and a small surrounding municipal district. Steep, sloping streets mark out its urban centre. It is cold in winter and hot in summer.
