Virgen de los Desamparados Festival.
At sunrise the Aurora is sung and the Rosary is recited. At midday, the main mass is held and the Congrete is distributed. Dusk sees the procession take place in honour of the Virgen de los Desamparados. An open-air party is held on the night before the festival.
The Canto de la Aurora song is one of the village’s oldest traditions. At 8 in the morning, musicians who play accordion, guitars, bandurrias and lutes etc. get together with singers. This is the most moving event of the festival and is incredibly popular.
