Peníscola / Peñíscola

Coves in the Serra d'Irta

Small quiet coves with clear waters which stretch along three kilometres of untouched coastline within the surroundings of the Serra d'Irta beauty spot.
Those people who enjoy visiting untouched coastlines will find, south of Peñíscola, various coves of pebbled and gravel beaches, offering clear waters which are excellent for snorkelling and fishing. The most attractive place is at the foot of Torre Badum, where many freshwater springs emerge from the seabed. The surroundings are heavenly and the shrubs, including rosemary and many scented plants increase the sense of charm of these small coves which appear at the base of the amazingly steep Serra d'Irta.
