Patron Saint Festivities


The activities organised by the City Council are varied and diverse: proclamation of the queens of the festivities in the first dancing night, liturgical acts in the Asunción parish church, a bull run (“entrada de bous”) in the morning, bull events in the bullring in the afternoon, torched bulls (“bous embolats”) at night, popular dances on the sports court, the traditional sardine fest (“sardinà”) in the mornings, typical dances (carabassa, jota and dansa), climbing events, the Vila de Cervera cross-country race, exhibitions, conferences, plays, children parks, excursions across the municipality and scheduled tours, parades of floats, brotherhood dinners (“sopars de cabasset i canadella”), a tribute to the entities... and an endless amount of performances throughout ten days in which the neighbourhood participates in an active and enthusiastic way.
