An Arab monastery built in the early 12th century for military purposes and abandoned in the 16th century.

The Castle sits over a promontory in the middle of the valley. It’s montane with an irregular plan, consisting of an inner rectangular enclosure and limited on the ends by a tall tribute tower.  The tower has a rectangular floor plan with a curved side.  Even the battlements and arrow-holes have been conserved. It still has four floors.
