Organised by the Local Festivals Board (a body created to prepare for Patron Saint celebrations), in the week surrounding 22 May, Almassora celebrates one of its two Patron Saint celebrations: “Bous al carrer”, music concerts from the national and international scene, fireworks, cultural displays, children’s and sports events, booths where you can taste good food, a pilgrimage to the chapel de la Santa and above all, the famous “Calderas de Sta. Quiteria”. Rice boilers are shared between the more than 6,000 visitors which come from all over to enjoy one of the most popular festivals of our province (a festival of great social, religious, cultural and gastronomic interest).
