Ethnological and Archaeological Museum

Bejís

In 1985 the Town Council and the Friends Association of the Museum began the project of installing an Ethnology and History Museum in Bejís, and since 1987, the first installation has opened.

Therefore, the museum stayed open until, in 1994, it decided to shut to the public to make large refurbishments. For 3 years it stayed closed for refurbishments until, in the summer of 1997, it reopened its doors to the public, with new ideas and will to succeed.

The new museum has 11 permanent showrooms and 1 dedicated to temporary displays, which means increasing the existing ones by 4.
