Casa de les Reixes

Almassora

The present-day Casa de les Reixes was built at the end of the 18th century; it is divider or the water that comes from the dam of Almassora and Castelló, belonging to the Irrigation Association of Castelló and Almassora. The building is made of bricks, stones, mortar and blocks of carved stone, with a gable roof, an arch in the façade, a grille in the entrance and a double channelling at the exit of the leaving water of Castelló and Almassora.

A commemorative tablet, which is located on the arch of the entrance, reads as follows: "CHARLES IV’S REIGN / IRRIGATION ASSOCIATION OF THE TOWN OF CASTELLON / AT OUR OWN COST / MDCCLXXXIX" and a lantern.
