Routes based on novels awarded the "Letras del Mediterráneo" prize, four literary routes that will allow you to physically visit places in the province of Castellón that you recreated through the pages of the book, identifying them at different times in history.

The province of Castellón with its combination of sea and mountains has all the ingredients to surprise you and make you spend a few enchanting days.

“I wish you were here” - Julio Cesar Cano

This is a literary route based on the black novel “I wish you were here” by Julio César Cano which places us, mainly in the city of Castelló.

The protagonist of this novel, inspector Bartolomé Monfort, knows the city inside out and takes us on a detailed tour of the place, highlighting the most emblematic buildings in Castelló while delighting us with his good taste in cuisine and typical local dishes.

“Until the sun comes up” - Megan Maxwell

Literary route based on the novel “Until the sun comes up” by Megan Maxwell and takes places, mainly in the area of Benicássim.

We will go on a perfect tour to discover the architectural and historical richness of the Villas de Benicássim (end of the 19th century - start of the 20th century) and in turn delight you with the Mediterranean Sea and the Vía Verde del Mar which will lead us towards the fantastic La Concha beach in Oropesa del Mar.

“Black Flag” - León Arsenal

The historical novel "Black Flag" by León Arsenal is the basis of this literary route that runs through different parts of the province of Castellón from the coast to the interior (Peñíscola, Benicarló, Grao Marshalnds de Castelló, les Coves de Vinromà, Onda, Sant Mateu, ...).

With this route, to be done in several stages, we will discover stories, wild places, walls, churches, etc. in a story that takes us back to the times of the First Carlist War.

“The Moon in the Mines” - Rosa Ribas

Based on the novel “The Moon in the Mines” by Rosa Ribas, this literary route takes us to Vistabella del Maestrat, in the mountains of the in-land of the province of Castellón.

We will discover a place surrounded by mountains and mysteries with spaces of the same town and the Peñagolosa Natural Park, where the Santuario de San Juan and the most emblematic mountain of the Valencian Community, the Penyagolosa is located.
